It's a pretty unremarkable set, but its lure is its simplicity. The pictures are not clear, and the text is basic. So many great players, some even captured on a card for the first time. But it was meant to be an autograph collector's set, printed in the days when autograph collecting was a minor hobby.
With all of the other fine blogs out there on regular issue sets, I figured I'd do this one, with the autographs adding a little something extra to the process. I say thanks to those others out there who give me something to read on my lunch break that reminds me that childhood never dies.
